$350 shipped 3VIEW PCBANK PB2700 *0 Dead Pixel Guarantee*

Thread Starter
Yes, there is already a thread about this monitor, but I figured this deserved its own thread because a lot of people might not even know its out there, or might be unaware of how good of a deal this particular monitor is. It is by far the cheapest with 0 dead pixel guarantee. Honestly, the Cat Leap looks better, but if 0 dead pixels is most appealing you could always get a stand with the money you saved. Anyway, I just got a response from cool-guys. I asked if the "Perfect Pixel" meant less than 5 dead pixels or 0 dead pixels guaranteed.

Dear currency_41,

Hello thanks for your interest. It means "0 dead pixels guaranteed"If you have any qeustions or need our helps, please let us know. We'll do our best for you.Best regards.^^

I saw that after I made my purchase from a different seller. For the people that want a perfect monitor and cheaper monitor it does sound like a good offer. However I can live with mine if it comes with a few bad pixels.

I saw that too but didn't know that "Perfact Pixel" would mean 0 dead pixels.
In the next 2 or 3 weeks i will replace my CRT with this one.
I simply don't understand why this cost only less then 300€ if DELL, Asus, Samsung or BenQ would do somthing like this we would need to pay 1000€ and more.

I can answer this, and with an example to!

It's for the same reason that off brand soda is cheaper than coke.

Pretty much point for point.

-less overhead
-no money in advertising
-other less important reasons.

Yep. Also don't forget Dell has to pay import tax, massive shipping to receive TONS of panels plus engineering to make use of the panel. And don't forget they only buy A quality monitors. The main reason though is likely brand name. Dell, Apple, HP they are all international brand names. So just like Coke Cola, and Pepsi you are paying for that brand name. There is also LOTS of overhead when dealing with large companies like this (companies investment losses etc).

A small company that just buys A- panels and only selling displays or is rather small there is tremendously less overhead and they can sell for massively amounts cheaper.

Also add in that the panels used are A- panels and not A+ + more input ports + more extra features eg speakers, usbhub etc + warranty + extra expenses incurred by company eg taxes.

However, even with all the "extras" that a brand name represents it doesnt work out to that much more. Branding and Marketing on averages adds 100+% to the cost of a product.

These so called 'perfect pixel' guarantees are, IMO, nothing more than a simple test. The manufacturers are still going to use the dead pixel policy that they have in place. This will just make sure it falls into that category.

So while the option for 'Perfect Pixel' is there, you pay extra, it takes longer, and they just turn it on and make sure it follows the guidelines below:

So, if in fact there is a 'defect', I would assume they would tell you, and then you would get another monitor. However, do you then have to pay again to test that one? I mean, if there was a 'defect', you wouldn't have had to worry about shipping it back. But to me, it just seems like a waste of time. IMO, the fact that they open the monitor, whether you asked them to or not, makes the whole ebay listing wrong, since it says 'new' 'unopened'.

Just my 2 cents.

Sadly I have to say that DEMENTED's customer service is very poor. Sent him a question about the monitor on March 21, and still heaven't heard back from him.
If I wont get an answer in the next two days I will be asking for a refund.

LOL

Sorry man, I saw your PM the one day, but then I got a few messages about some prizes I donated for the Foldathon. This I found on google, but it's linked from a user here in the Catleap thread:

That's what the plug from the Catleap looks like.

Ok, looks legit. Thank You Sir.

I'll let you off the hook this time.

p.s.

Could you explain the use of that little hole in middle of the two silver sticks that go into the electricity socket?

I've seen it on other plugs, but never seen how it is filled/used. Some electricity rosettes actually have a counter silver stick going out of them that go into the plug? Or
