They've always cut off versions of IE each time they release a new OS, nothing new there.

Linux has OpenGL which is unarguably better than DirectX. Just harder to code for and most devlopers/publishers only want to use DirectX, and converting already made games would be useless.

Also, You should think about using spaces after your periods and capitalizing the first letter in each sentence. Would make your posts so much easier to read.
