Best Intel Gaming Build for $1000?

Thread Starter
Alright guys, I'm here once again to build a PC for a friend, and this time they have a budget of $1000 USD want to build the best gaming PC possible for the money.

He won't be needing a monitor or Windows, as he already has those components.

So basically I need a $1000 box. Maybe leave $75 for a mouse and keyboard. Thanks in advance, I'll be happy to rep anyone who can help!

If you're on a budget, i'd recommend surfing on slickdeals.net. If you do go that route, you'll need to do a bit of research, but believe me, my rig (except case) came out to $920 (I got my case free)
In the above sig rig, I would get the Radeon 7850 as it performs the same as the 570 but less power draw.
If you're planning on building it I would go with newegg.com and on that budget I'd recommend these parts for a gaming rig:

CPU
CPU Cooler
Motherboard
RAM
Power Supply
Graphics Card
Hard Drive

That leaves about $150 give or take for his choice of computer case, keyboard and mouse.

Looks good except I would go with a gtx 480 for the gpu, as they are $250 on newegg brand new and would offer better performance.
