Htpc vs AppleTv vs Zotac Mag vs Xbox360 (XBMC Plug-Ins Help)

Hi i was planning on getting a appletv2 to jailbreak and run XBMC, ICEFILMS , Canada on Demand, Navi-X, SportDevil, etc... but there seeming over price due to the appletv3 not being jailbroken yet...
but while trying to track one down ive come across something else which i like abit better but its also abit more expensive the zotac MAG and the Zotac Zbox.

i want to run something that can run all those plug-ins.. are the zotac products better and worth the higher pricetag? or is there other products that are better? can i run something like that threw my xbox 360?? , will all the plug-ins work on my computer as well?

im kinda new to all this mediacenter streaming and xbmc plug-in stuff , id love to hear all your feed back thanks! biggrin.gif

btw in picking these devices im leaning more towards the atv2 and zotac still devices due to looks and size and the 360 because i have two of them... htpc seem to be abit bigger and not as nice looking

I stream daily to my 360 and PS3. I just use media center from windows media player and on my ps3 i use PS3 Media Server. If you already have a 360 i wouldn't spend any money and use it

No, XBMC will not load on the Xbox 360 or PS3. XBMC will work on a first generation Xbox but it cannot be natively loaded on the 360 or PS3.

I'd say spring for the ZBOX if you can. I've had two HD11 for over a year now. It does everything I need it to with XBMC running on top of W7. I've got one hooked up to a 1080p screen and it streams bluray rips across my network without missing a beat. When they first came out, Netflix HD content was a little cumbersome but after a few updates I haven't had any issues. The other one has been mounted in my car for about the past 30,000 miles and hasn't had any problems either so they are durable at least. I would definately recommend 4GB of ram and an SSD for them though. I've also had the original AppleTV and the ZBOX is preferable to it.
