Before I go into asking the question, I just want to let you know that I don't actually own a CPU at the moment because my old fx-4100 fried 2 months ago and I've been processor-less since then but I have the other parts nevertheless.
And no piledriver recommendations!! I miss using my RIG
This is my current specs:
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
Western Digital 500GB
Western Digital Raptor Drive 160GB
Palit GTX 560 Ti 448 Core
MSI 990XA-GD55 Motherboard
COOLERMASTER GX-750W PSU
Ok now for the question
Excluding the fx-8150 (too costly) and the phenom 2 1100t and 1090t (as they are very difficult to find in the UK) , what processor is the best for both gaming and video rendering?
I want a general solution! I know intel is the best but I can't afford it and I'll always remain an AMD fan so no intel recommendations thank you.
