Recommended pot position on idle channel

Hi,
I have a FC5V2 which is permanently running with one unplugged fan header. In the past I've used the linear rheostat type of fan controllers, and in that situation it was usually recommended to set them at 12V instead of minimum, so it wouldn't heat up a MOSFET on a free channel.
Now with this kind of more complex PWM regulation circuit, is there also a preferred idle position (0/12V) so it won't heat up/consume energy or slightly stress parts for no use? Thanks.

ps: I've already contacted mail support, but they couldn't give me an answer on this non issue.

As far as I am aware there is no recommended idle position. Im going to be honest with you though, it is unlikely that customer service will be able to give you a correct answer for that.

Thanks anyway, I'm asking this out of sheer curiosity as in any case there's no current being drawn to make it an issue. My reason for asking was that the 0V position doesn't really disconnect a channel or it's voltage regulation, because a small voltage (close to 1V) still goes through when measured at the header.
