Getting a new quiet Case for noise reduction

Thread Starter
Hello, I would like to get a new case based on noise reduction if possible, and as much quiet as possible. I dont mind expending more money on it or in new fans if it really does the job. The main noise comes from the MSI 560Ti Twin Force 2 OC with the two fans and its very noticeable.

From what I have read, even a very good case with noise reduction wont be a very big improvement at all, but I have a very old metallic case and I think it could improve the overall noise reduction a bit.
Some topics I have read:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1222277/looking-for-a-new-low-noise-case
http://www.overclock.net/t/725507/what-is-the-best-noise-dampening-quietest-full-tower-case

Please if you could give me any recommendations on good noise reduction and quiet cases I would be very gratefully.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

This NZXT H2 looks pretty good. Comes in black or white and is a pretty good price for the features.

instead of putting the "noise" into another box.. why not change teh cooler or the gfx card? smile.gif

is that an option youve considered?

Thanks for your reply dihartnell, I have been looking some reviews at Silent PC Reviews (nice place), and they recommend some good cases for silent pcs:
http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=64087

The NZXT H2 seems to be good but I think I will stay with Antec or Fractal Design from the comments above.

Hi Nioxic, changing the GPU cooler is the best option, but since the card was bought 4 months ago at Amazon, it will void my warranty and I think it would be a waste of money. I dont discard this option however, but would like to upgrade the case in a first place.

Fractal design has some really clean looking and quiet cases. You should look into a few of them... also you should avoid any cases with mesh openings..

Thank you all for your tips and comments, I am considering finally to get the Fractal Design R3. Seems to be good in noise reduction and has good features. Didnt like the features of SOLO II case.

Fractal Design R3:

Also looked at Fractal Design XL, but I think R3 will be fine.

Yep, Fractal is great. My friend has the Define XL, and that thing runs very quiet. I'm thinking of picking up one myself.
