GTX680 with EKWB Universal VGA Acetal ...... but what for the mosfets?

hey guys,
im currently running a 2500k@ 4,5ghz and a GTX560ti@1050mhz on a magicool 360 with 6xGT1350. Under Prime I get about a max of 52° and the card doesnt go beyond 43° in BF3. The Fans are all on absolute minimum at my fan controller, so about 800rpm.

To get to my question. I am planning to upgrade to one of the cheapest GTX680s available here in Germany (Asus/Palit for about 460€), integrate it into the loop, do a slight OC, and still have comparable noise and temperature.
The GTX560ti is a Gigabyte OC Windforce. I am using the EKWB Universal and a 80mm CM Fan on the heatsink of the phases which is working out supremely. Id love to continue using the Universal on the 680 but Im worried about the phases, as, when I take off the stock heatsink, the phases will be naked of course. What can I do about that. Maybe someone who already has it could tell me the distance between the drillings for the phases so i can try to find a proper solution. The EKWB cooling configurator is not helping other than that the Universal as the name might suggest, fits the 680 as well.

cheers

Mosfets never gotten cooled with full cover blocks whether gpu or mobo, only the actual gpu, memory chips + power phases. They sometimes make cutouts for the mosfet so they actually don't get in the way and for the block to seat..

On this pic you'll see the cut out for the mosfet pretty well. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Not true.

The VRM consists of the following components: input & output capacitors, coils (inductors), IC drivers and MOSFETs. EK full cover water block (e.g. EK-FC680 GTX) directly cools coils, IC drivers and MOSFETs, which are in direct contact with the water block via thermal pad.

poeple, im not interested in full cover blocks. I want to know how i can continue using my Universal EKWB VGA Block, while still having sufficient phase cooling.

Self adhesive alu heatsink and some airflow should do the trick.

not having to glue a heatsink onto my 500€ video cards VRMs would be nice. Is there a better solution?

Self-adhesive heatsinks use something more like tape than glue from what I've seen. They would come right off if you wanted to remove them.
