New card decision please help! - Page 3

Honestly I had no intention on sticking with the 7970's from the get go. I wanted to run my 3960 and had the cards to use and was just playing around with them. I did get a chance to run 3x 27" views on it but never really got a chance to configure it all and just set them aside until the new owner picked them up. Either one 7970 or gtx 680 will last a year +/- 6 months depending on games and drivers and that you are wanting to max out resolutions and game quality for every game that comes out.

Very true, the whole reason I stuck with spending a lot of money to grab a high end card seat to recycle expensive cards very fast and keep having top end cards very often.

Yeah you could do that, if money is that tight, then do it. But if you can cut corners in ur budget (ramen noodles, Kool-aid) lol, then do it.

I'm glad I could been a help.

Let me know what you get, I'd go MSI, trans warrenty, plus if you smoke it they replace it. smile.gif

I'd go 680. I have one in my shopping cart almost every day, then I cancel the impulse buy wink.gif
