I'd like to Vmod my 7900GTO. Do you know some hard mods, or soft mods which could work?

There are instructions on how to v-mod a 7900gt in the Nvidia section, I'm not sure if they are relevant to the GTO but I can't see a reason why not........head over to the nvidia section

Thanks.

Do you know where I can get some info for nibitor?

And where can I find instructions for the GTX since the GTO has got the same gpu and looks pretty similar to the gtx?

And what is the max V I should use?

From what I've been reading, it's easier to flash a GTO with the GTX bios which will raise the voltage to that of a GTX. Problem with that is the RAM on the GTO isn't as good as the GTX's and the flash isn't recommended to 24/7 usage.

Here you are...All the instructions :http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardw...ict180344.html

I think it should work for the GTO however check this before proceeding.

No the ram is just fine. Its bios are the problem. The ram runs 1.4ns specs (ram speed, 1.8v, and timings). If you up the mem voltage to 2.1 and loosen the timings (GTO has tighter timings) youll get 700+ on the memory.

There is one rather large difference between the GTO and the GTX. Looks like they have tightened the memory timings versus the GTX.

timing-----------GTX-------GTO-------BJ11 ------ BC14
tRAS------------24-----------22----------25-----------22
tRC--------------34-----------31----------35-----------31
tRFC------------43-----------39----------45-----------39
tRCDR----------12-----------10----------12-----------10
tRCDW----------8-------------6------------8-------------6
tRP--------------10------------9-----------10-------------9
tRRD-------------8------------10-----------8-------------8

So, looks like 1.1 ns GDDR3 may be on there, but, since it only has the 1.4 ns spec voltage(1.7 min, 1.8 spec, 1.9 max) versus the 1.1 ns voltage(1.9 min, 2.0 spec, 2.1 max), the timings have been adjusted accordingly to 1.4 ns just like the GT cards.

He says dont flash for the timings can hurt performance. But many people have flashed with better performance.

Or you can use a program to mod your bios. Just upload the original GTO bios and increase mem speed.
