what type of hdd do i have in my laptop

I have a toshiba satellite pro a300d 131 that doesnt work ( the screen cable doesnt work and the charging pin is broken) it has 2 60gb hdds that i want to use as external hdds with an adaptor. What type are they? 2.5 ide? Or something else, i just want to make sure ( dont want to buy the wrong item)

As it doesn't say in the online specs, the best way to find out is to pull out the hard drive and take a look - if it has a bunch 'o pins, then yes its an IDE, if it has the SATA connectors, then its quite obviously a SATA drive - if you don't want to pull it, my best guess would be a SATA as it would have to be a bit older of a computer in order to be IDE.
