dvi-i or dvi-d?

Thread Starter
Just got my GTX 680 today. I see the options on the back of it and don't know what to use.

I am only using one monitor and it is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009316

So do i use dvi-d or dvi-i?

Thanks!

DVI-D, dual link if possible. But not DVI-I or DVI-A.

They are both dual link ports. DVI-D simply means you can't run a DVI->VGA adapter. For DVI->DVI the quality is the same.

Look more closely at his monitor Matt, it won't accept a DVI-I cable.

In the newegg picture it appears to be DVI-D. According to acer it comes with a DVI cable so just use what they include.
