you can either use a diamond wheel on a Dremel. Or do what i did (all be it unsuccessfully at times.) and score one side of the tube with a triangle file and snap it with pressure from your thumbs opposite of the score. I'm going to be getting myself a dialmod wheel for my case build because the amount of bends I'm putting in those tubes I'm not going to want to have to re do one due to a bad break!!

Yeah what you need is a good glass cutter and a jig to score the outside of the glass perfectly and then just use some hot water and an ice bath to heat up the glass quickly and then dunk it in cold water to create microfractures in the glass to pop them apart easily thumb.gif

Ill try that. I wasn't sure the shock method would work with the Pyrex as it is engineered with a low coefficient of thermal expansion.

Yeah that's true I forgot you're using Pyrex instead but might as well try since it may save you a lot of time if it actually works smile.gif

Got my o-rings in today will finally get my end mill tomorrow so i can get to finish the milling...

But for now i have refined the design and materials and already have a V2 model + a smaller version... biggrin.gif
700

Basically the way I was doing the first design used $40 worth of fittings to hold the tubes in place...
(That's fine for my personal res but puts a potential price way too high for those who have expressed interest. Not to mention the higher levels of leak possibilities.)

So while the new design looks the same I've eliminated the fittings and changed the tube to acrylic. Bonding them to the acetal. Still using a 3 piece design for maintenance.

Not to mention the possibilities for using color tubing rather than just clear. thumb.gif

No hard plans yet but the gears in my head are a turning. thinking.gif

Updates coming on my res in a couple days. biggrin.gif
