Looking for a Fully Modular PSU! Need Some Thoughts.

Thread Starter
Like the title says I am looking for a Fully Modular PSU. (Due to the fact that having a CM Real Power Pro with as many cables as it has doing cable management is a pain).

The psu is going to be powering:

Ivy equivalent of the 2600k (3770k?)
Asus Gene-z V (z77)
A GTX580 Oced to 950/1900 @ 1.1v

Phaedrus's PSU calc says i need 550w

I am Currently looking @ the AX650 as it comes to a total of $118 After rebate.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139035

And well I was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions around that price range.

I am Looking for (In the PSU in question):

80+ Gold Or higher.
Fully Modular (obviously).
Must be around $130ish.
Have a great warranty and easy RMA process.

Thanks OCN!
Small wonder.

Seasonic X650 is one of the most highly regarded PSUs out there (they're one of the OEMs for Corsair anyways)

Small wonder.

I don't think so. That AX650 is a super nice psu. You can't go wrong with it.

Kingwin Lazer are really good for the money, maybe even the best. I like Seasonic too. I just bought a Seasonic 1000w platinum cert. they are the best of the best imo

I would go for either the corsair AX650 or 750. Right now they have 15$ off promo codes on newegg. Can't go wrong with corsair psu's thumb.gif

Corsair AX series up to 850W just uses Seasonic X Series internals (2nd gen, which is cheaper to make but not different from the consumer's point of view). There's no reason to get Seasonic's version unless it's cheaper, since the Corsair has the longer warranty and flat modular cables.

A lot of the 80 plus gold modular stuff is not fully modular. In fact I can't think of anything other than Seasonic X (Corsair AX) / Seasonic high-wattage X and Platinum (and XFX rebrands of those) / Silverstone Strider Plus Gold (and Evolution) / OCZ ZX that are at least 80 plus gold and fully modular. Oh, I think Cooler Master Silent Pro Hybrid is too.

Of those, the AX650 is currently the cheapest and of course no slouch.

Thanks for the info I guess I the price of the AX is currently very good. I will order it tomorrow if no one else says otherwise lol.

UGHHH the price incriments for each of the AX's are too close for comfort!

+$10~ bucks gets me the AX750
+$30~ Gets me the AX850

The choices.......

I'd get an 850W just in case you want to SLI that 580... Also resale value? I dunno. I'd at least get the 750W
