ok i didnt really get to do much of what i had planned for today.
didnt have as much time as i thought and there were other things that kept me from modding ..
so what i did is:
- soldering the old power switch/reset switch cables on the key-lock-switch and the new resetswitch.
i then went to get some plexiglas for the third window in the case. but the guy that cut it out cut one of the pieces wrong and another one is too small because i didnt measure out right.
i did glue a piece of plexi on the top, tho. its still drying at the moment and i'm not sure if it'll stay where its supposed to stay
also started rounding one of the ide-cables. cant finish it at the moment because i need some spiral..stuff to put around it.
nothing spectacular :-(
i'm kinda frustrated with what i got to do today, because i didnt get as far as i wanted to :-(
hopefully i'll get to do the rgb-led-mod tomorrow, if that works out fine, the weekend wasnt completely wasted
oh another thing i did.. got an lcd from a friend of mine and found a tutorial on how to mod an lcd to have a different color. funny thing is, this tutorial uses the exact lcd that i got from my friend, so that was almost too easy
i didnt take any pics while starting the mod (cant finish that one either, because there's stuff i have to order :-( ), so i'll just post one or two from the website where i found the tutorial.
i took the lcd apart, soldered the led-module that was below the lcd off and put it back together.
i could take pics of my lcd but they'd be the same that they have in the tutorial
they're using blue glowing.. umm.. foil? in the tutorial and i'll be using red, because that will match
the rest of the case better.
