If you were going to listen to that music, would you go and grab headphones or not?
My dv6 tends to be a desktop replacement as well, but not all the time. My C840 is usually by itself.
I wouldn't shell out more than $40 for them unless you would use them for gaming (or if you really like music [but then you probably would already have some]) just get some budget ones but dont go for a brand that is hyped by hipsters and mac users. go for sennheiser or really just anything that has good reviews.

I have Philips $50 headphones, but they broke, as well as a replacement. Thankfully I got a refund. Ever since then I've thought about getting new headphones, but my $15 ones are pretty much fine anyway.
Whatever headphones I would buy, I would be using them for gaming (on my PCs, TV and even some portable devices) and music for the most part.

Your $15.00 headphones aren't fine. You just don't know better.

Just like beats users. Only they pay out the wazoo.

I want to get a pair just because. I guess they are like Apple. Because they know people will pay big price for them regardless. You gotta give it to them tho, they know how to advertise, knows there market and knows how to sell them. Saying people who buy beats doesn't know there stuff is kind of wrong, what happen if that person was a software engineer and say that you don't know anything about his area of expertise? If people have the money to spend, let them spend it, its there money after all. I'm just saying and not trying to start anything. Just stating my opinion on how I view Beats headphones.

I'm planning to get a pair of the Wireless beats myself. Just because I like Dr.Dre.

It's up to you if you want to buy something even if it's trash but you like the "guy", go ahead. You would do much better with HD598's or any other headphones + pizza for whole week. I owned 598's (probably gonna rebuy) and tried "friends" beats, they sucked tbh. It was like ferrari vs some random normal car with ferrari sticker.

I respect that. But I don't see a lot of decent Bluetooth headphones. If there was another that have a good design and sound, then I would go for it.

That's true. Beats = Apple/EVGA/BMW (I see a lot more of BMW then Ferrari and Audi). I'm pretty sure the beats headphones leans towards Hip-Hop/Rap more, since they worked with Dr. Dre.
