In the United States (and many other developed or developing countries) it is extremely important to have flashy stuff to show off to your friends, their friends, and your family so they can both respect you and be jealous of you. Also, listening to garbage mainstream radio music, drinking a large amount of alcoholic beverages while under the age of 18 (21 in the US), and utilizing controlled substances is showing people that you are a "rebel", or that you blend into the crowd.

I personally don't care. I have had many people at my school ask me "Why the hell don't you have a Macbook Pro if you have $1500 to spend on a laptop? Are you stupid or something?" One guy in my economics class got into an argument with me about how his Beats by Dr. Dre Earbuds sounded a lot better than my Ultrasone PRO 550's because they had "more bass man, and thats good for like rap and [censor] bro, sucks that you listen to some crappy music like metal man, you cant get laid with that [censored]".

Society is based on showing off. That's just the way it is.

The Turbine line of IEMs are among the best in their price ranges AFAIK, otherwise all monster products are overpriced garbage.

Takes a while to get used to sound signature though. When I first tried my Ultrasone PRO 550's I thought they sounded like garbage.

After around 2 hours and some EQ settings:

You've never heard of Dr. Dre? Are you like 9 years old or something op?

Aside from that theres nothing special about BEATS Audio, its nothing special.

I love you for this.

This crap $25 rosewill Headset had pretty much no burn in. It sounded muffled when I first got it and cleared out in a day. No amount of EQ adjusting can help it
