Sorry for the delay in my reply but I downloaded and ran these applications.

Is there any info / results that I should post?

I ran Realtemp, HWMonitor and started Prime95 but not sure what I'm looking for with that one.

If anyone would like to analyze or evaluate the results or wants to comment on the results, let me know which part you need? smile.gif

The temps look like 40 to 44, still. But, there's way more detail than what the BIOS (HWMonitor) provides, I'd say.

I'm thinking I should still order some thermal grease but I'm not sure whether I should buy a liquid cooler with it in case the grease re-application doesn't do much. I hope it's not the cpu/mobo or some cooling problem within the case. I might be within tolerable temps but it's still a shame to have temps in the low to mid-40s when it should be around mid-30s?

:-/

Sorry to bump the thread if it's boring to those who already have satisfactory Q6600 processors.

How is one supposed to read the results of Prime95? They make you register but it's a mishmash of tech content without explaining anything.

I hope the 'report' gives better details.
