4 - 4.2Ghz OC Impossible on my CPU..?

I've been trying for quite some time now with the help of a user from another forum & can't get anything stable over 3.40Ghz (blue screens/desktop freezing/instant reboots etc).. (i7 920) I've recently installed a new 850w XFX PSU, Noctua NH-D14 cooler & some good very good case fans to help with the OC & temps are now fantastic compared to before.. avg around 50c under extreme load.

My settings currently under MB Intelligent Tweaker.. 3.40Ghz

CPU Clock Ratio - 21x
QPI Clock Ratio - x36
QPI Link Speed - 5.83GHz
BCLK Frequency - 162
Extreme Memory Profile - Pofile1
System Memory Multiplier - 8.0
DRAM Timing - Expert
CPU Vcore - 1.26250v (Normal)
QPI/Vtt - 1.175 (1.335v)
IOH Core - 1.100v (Auto)
DRAM Voltage - 1.500v (Auto)
DVID - +0.07500v

Am I flogging a dead horse with this or is there still hope..?

Thanks.

I'm trying to get 4.2GHz with my 920, and I'm currently trying 220x19(gives you 4.18GHz), 1.3125V Vcore. I forgot the vdimm and ioh and vtt.

edit: but 4GHz should be easy with your cooling. go for 200x20. voltages are a case by case scenario, but http://www.overclock.net/t/538439/guide-to-overclocking-the-core-i7-920-or-930-to-4-0ghz should help you out
