I had to send in my asus R3F for rma and picked up a 2500k and an asrock p67 extreme4 gen3 to use while my system was down. I really like the 1155 system and finally decided to do a run of 3dmark11 at the same clocks on my gpu's to see what I estimated at ~ 10% difference between the x58 system and the p67.
my x58 system consisted of:
i7-970 @ 4.2 (200x21)
R3F
6gb dominators @ 1604mhz 8-8-8-24
evga GTX570 SLI
p67 system (sig rig)
i5-2500k @ 4.7
8gb vengeance @ 1600 9-9-9-24
Nothing amazing going on here but by my math that's roughly a 9.3% difference. I have been thinking of putting the x58 back together but may now just build a 2nd rig with it!

It would definitely make a sick mATX machine. I say go for one of the lesser corsair cases and hook up an H70 to it and do that.
