Scythe GentleTyphoon AP-30 minimum RPM

Heya everyone! I saw from this guy here the images below for the AP-30 and 31. So has anyone tested the AP-30, and if so can you enlighten me about its min. RPM & dbA? The AP-31 is surely too loud for me (even at lowest speed it's on my limits), but the AP-29 is not even loud tongue.gif. So I was wondering if I could stick with AP-29 or go for the AP-30.

The minimum spin speed for my AP-29 was around 1400 RPM, they are not as quiet as the low speed grey ones at the same RPMs. That is from my testing anyway.

If you have water cooling of some form put some foam tape on the rad (where the fan mounts) and it will reduce (or stop) the high pitch whine they make under a fan controller.

Also you will need a good fan controller these things are powerful and take a lot of power.

So i have the 4250 rpm model. And i hook it up to my NZXT Sentry 2. When at 100% they turn up, then down, then back up, and that continues. I guess it seems like it isnt taking enough power. I thought Sentry 2 supports 10w per channel? Is there a Amp limit too? These fans should only take 12v .56a haha help!

Thanks!
