Sapphire / XFX or MSI 6850

Thread Starter
Looking at buying the 6850 1GB version but not sure which make to go for Sapphire / XFX or MSI , the MSI version is a bit cheaper, I have always used Sapphire cards but if MSI gives me the same performance I would not mind going for the MSI brand.

Any advice ?

XFX has better RMA support if you register with them. You are basically paying for better customer support by chosing them

MSI makes good stuff so its not like its inferior its just a company that is harder to RMA stuff with even though they have gotten hugely better as of late.

You really can't lose going with any one of them. XFX has the 'best' support in terms of RMA, MSI is a huge hassle to obtain good service with, Sapphire is pretty rock solid, but they will occasionally charge you an RMA fee on order to process your claim. That being said, MSI/Sapphire usually put out higher quality non-reference products.

Also, I should mention, if you shop around you can sometimes find a 6870 for the same price as a 6850. Something to keep in mind.
