Asus P8P67 Rev 3.1 Audio Question

Thread Starter
I have had my Asus board for a long time and have been using the integrated sound card. I never installed the audio drivers that came with the motherboard. Would installing these drivers improve the sound quality? I use the computer mainly for gaming but I do listen to music a fair bit. Normally when I gaming, I use a headset and when I am listening to music, I use my Sennheiser HD 201s which are a few years old.

May make a bit of difference to CPU loading. Sound quality really depends on the level of processing employd by native drivers versus the vendor driver. Generally, I'd advise to go with the driver. Create a restore point so you can roll back if need be.
