Now,regarding when the enmy locates the point of origin, (if they can of course)
Once the F-22,launches the long range missles, they change position quickly in ivisibility mode going at speeds of 1.5 Match ( This is crazy). Obviously giving them other vector attack point totally different from the last one.
Playing the long range game with this plane is not an option, belive me.When a long range missle is launched from far distance to you,it is more difficult to evade, because the GPS of the missle has more time to predict your movements.

Good to know! I don't know too much about the actual weaponry.
Well in any case I am glad we (US) have it for if and when we need it.

Speak softly and carry a big stick and what not...

you guys just wait...india russia jointly are developing sukhoi t50 stealth fighter, which is made to counter the f 22 biggrin.gif

A modern war wouldn't last long at this cost. Who could afford to replace them or even build them at a rate that could replace combat losses? I'd give a US Chinese war a month before both sides were back to bayonets and bullets, assuming no nukes!

1 single F-22 can make a dozen fo Migs drop like flies, the maximun vector maneuverability in the F-22 is classified in fact, however we have seen basic demosntrations in air shows around the world about how maneuver friendly it is.It can make any type of moves in the air.for combat and non-combat.

Stealth is very usefull in dogfight also, once the F-22 evades the mig radar (since the signal bounceback is so small, because of the airplane flat edge chassis design and also becaise it is realatively easy to evade a old radar system of the mig) ,the the Mig does not have a chance. At all....

nothing much more to say about the mig these days.

Assuming that you can stay awake long enough to get through a Clancy novel. biggrin.gif

out to stop from carrying out . That sums up every Clancy novel.

as we saw in blackhawks down!third world country dont need to be fancy to put you to a screaching halt!put a person on the ground with the proper shoulder mounted rocket luncher(mm let me think,i bet flash bainite as material would be a good and light counter)aim boom no more f22!.it(f22) has no practicality in the real world.
lets imagine you go to china!whats their counter?simple, people cheap, deadly ,very effective!add a flash bainite rocket luncher()witch should be insanelly durable and very cheap to make ,given the cost of flash bainite!(2 $ a pound versus 8 $ a pound for steel)again! all these toy made in america are lobby driven!they ARE NOT THE BEST SOLUTIION,they arent cost effective! and if there was such a thing has death per dollars ,i bet all country around the world would be too busy laughing out loudly to care!LOL!how much death per dollars (potential)this has? .000000000001?it isnt justified!

Since guerillas do not have stinger anymore, they dont have a chance to shot down a F-22,heck not even the stinger (Built by Americans)
.

In first glance the operability of a air dominance fighter like the F-22 is in high altitudes, higher than previous generations.Even if the russian build a personal-portable ground to air missle that can shoot to it, the F-22 (Obviosuly if it is is detected, however i highly doubt you can see a F-22 in ground in a warzone,it is low noise, almost undetactable by radars, and so fast.,the rather primitive missle has no chance witha dozen of tactics and technologies equipped in this machine.

Heck not even the F-16c Eagle have to worry about this for years, with cheap portable ground to air launchers.

On Another Note.
I still prefer the SR71 Blackbird, vintage and sexy.
Blackbird is faster wink.gif
not that you were talking about speed of course.

Much faster, but then again it couldn't take off with a full tank of gas either ;)
