[ars] Blizzard struggles to hold the MMO throne with Mists of Pandaria beta - Page 12

Oh, and yeah WoW is a joke nowadays. They are giving away level 80s and mounts and free flying skills and gear sets in a last ditch attempt to keep players from canceling their subscriptions. The game is clearly showing it's age, and Blizzard knows its on it's last legs. I doubt some Kung-Fu Panda is gonna change that either.

If Blizzard had stuck to Vanilla standards and kept the game a challenge it would been going strong still.

Did you guys even think before posting?
I know the game has gone through a lot of change, but I adapted and had my fun. I'm not stupid to think that Blizzard will bring it all to a sudden end.
They consider every account a subscriber....doesn't matter if the account is active or been deactivated for 4 years, it still counts as a sub. They never would release real numbers tongue.gif

Started playing wow mid TBC and it was amazing at the time, but now at the end of Cata i just dont see it as fun, only as a job,a duty of sorts, and i see nothing in Pandaria that makes me wanna keep on going, quite the oposite sadly,it's just not the game i loved anymore.

WotLK had one of the best patches in the entire history of WoW... Ulduar.

I wish they would have just kept Ulduar as the main instance and just updated it for levels.

The redone Naxxramas was pretty damn fun too. Call of Crusade was decent.

ICC wrecked what could have been a very fun expansion.

Everything else I agree with.

Naxx - Is ok
Ulduar - awesome

The main problems wow has:
Dumbing down of content - The game gets easier and easier with every expansion. Less talent choices to make, easier bosses, easier to get loot. The "end game" content just isnt fun anymore, it was great when it was a challenge, nowadays it just isnt catering for the casual gamer is killing the game 0 even the LFR mode has been Nurfed SO much that its beyond boring now, all they keep doing is nerfing content and making it easier and easier which to me (and many people i know) is BORING.
Then comes the Expansion which seems to cater to the chinese market WAY too much. Stupid ass Pandas that have been knocked off some many other games, movies and TV Shows and the whole oriental look is just stupid and kinda tacky like they are running out of ideas and checking the "Whats Hot" list for ideas.
and no one is saying BLIZZARD will bring it to an end, it will the gamers i think it might have a year or 2 left but these constant nerfs to content, broken PvP (IMO) and boring ass expansions are whats going to kill the game when something better comes along. Nearly everyone in my guild of over 200 people are getting GW2 many are quitting wow altogether others are keeping there subs for a few months but with Tera Online and GW2 coming out even before MoP (i believe) is released it could already be too little too late.
Of course this is just ALL my opinion, no facts or anything - dont agree thats find just dont make out your (or any bodies) opinions are facts and everyone elses are wrong

The dumbing down of content was made for you and your zerg guild. What is the problem, you don't want to be able to kill anything?

In the presence of Skyrim and BF3 graphics, WoW's "rectangle fingers" are getting a bit long in the tooth. I suppose its nice you can max WoW out on one 5770 card. I don't know if I'll get the new xpac or not. I miss the good ol' days of BC (Black Temple, Zul Aman, The sunwell patch, etc.)

No it wasnt, it was made for all the casuals - i like it to be hard, a real challenge now its just a walk in park.
How would the content being made EASIER have anything to do with a normal raiding guild? It was for all the casual players that wanted to experience all the content but found it too hard. They should have just left it with FLR and left Normal/HC modes alone and stopped nurfing them every 5 seconds.
