Wow has outdated graphics but at least its combat animation works. Yep its dying (looking at you SWTOR)
If we want to talk about dying look at Warhammer. I believe it is down to 2 or 1 US server now.
I have not played Wow for over a year and won't pick it back up but you have to give credit where credit is due and it is still the king weather you personally like it or not
P.S. GW2 looks amazing but will it have the longevity of WoW .. time will tell.
People are saying it's dying, not that it's dead. Yes, there is a difference. They lost around 2 mil subs in the last few months according to the recent report... and it's still dropping. With GW2 right around the corner, it's going to put another large dent in WoW.
None of your arguments matter with the term "dying". It doesn't matter if there are 1,000 subs or 100 mil subs, if it's losing subs at a steady pace (which it is) then it is dying. Dying =! Dead.
I was a huge WoW fanboy up until the middle of Cata. I was in the top .001% most of the time (from way back to Molten Core), with my final guild being Enigma, which is currently ranked #4 in the USA. The game has had some major high points and low points, but right now it's just bland and boring. It has nothing on GW2, and yes I have played the beta, and even in the rare case that GW2 fails I would not go back to WoW. The game has no appeal anymore, I sold my account for a nice $3000 and moved on right around the time Firelands came out. That was what? Half a year ago? Still no regrets.Edited by Murlocke - 3/29/12 at 10:30am
