[Official] Max Payne 3 PC Information and Screenshot Thread (Not A Port!!!) - Page 59

I feel lucky no issue here.

Some people report MSAA to be broken. It would not improve image quality.

This worked for me:

In your steam folder set the game (from properties of the exe file) to run in compatability with vista service pack 2. But then run the game the normal way from steam.

Really, people, really?
I for one think Max Payne looks stunning as it is on max settings at 1080p, and at least they actually bothered to put in PC graphic options and DX11 features, so it's not quite a "console port", is it?
Graphical improvement do not count as a "non-console port"
There are loads of ports out there that have graphic mods.
The reason why Max Payne reeks of port is because of the multi player.

Black Ops 2 will prove that slapping on some DX11 doesn't make your crappy port a PC game...

I really do appreciate the graphical improvement, I really do! and the widescreen option is AWSOME!
But I'd trade all those graphical improvements for properly functioning multi player any day of the week.

First game I played I DCed after 5 seconds.
2nd game I was the host and... LOL... crushed everyone in the server by abusing the latency...

You need to copy your Max Payne 3 folder to C:/ and remove the spaces in the folder name, then update the registry with the new location. Read here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2729965

Did that but now it just gets stuck on the rockstar opening page. Now I have to redownload it because steam can't find the game even though I moved it back.

alright i know we all want a true PC DX11 built from the ground up game..... That will happen eventually, but...... we'll be lucky if it happens simply to the $$$ from the consoles.

well, i haven't tried the multiplayer... But yea, why did they go for peer-to-peer? whats the point? Is dedicated servers too hard to use? even Black Ops had dedicated servers.

No idea man.

I just found out that you can use a program to make your internet lag out.
Which means that if you're the host it allows you to run around killing everyone while they are lagging out...
