Amazing. It reminds me of Half-Life 2's in a way. Not that it sounds anything alike but it really helps to ratchet up your adrenaline at the right times. Really enjoyed the song in the beginning of the last level.

On the comic book things. I liked them a lot it's just that the cut-scenes are so well done here they're easily forgotten. Normally am not huge on cut-scenes either. It's not like the game has no faults but presentation wise it's 10/10. Negatives are it's paced a little wonky and it feels a bit stuttery at first. But then again the combat in the first two Max Payne games feels a little stuttery at first.

I'll put it to you this way though. Last game I played through twice was Human Revolution and Human Revolution was the only game in 2011 I played through twice. I am already ready to play through this again. Combat is just so satisfying. Some enemies are a bit bullet spongey but it's easily gotten over. And before someone says body armor I realize that but it's still ridiculous for a person to take a half a clip to go down. One bullet will drop any man even if it doesn't pierce his skin. Doesn't have to be totally realistic but totally unrealistic is just as lame. Still awesome though.

Anyone else having weird choppy play? With all settings maxed out, no MSAA, Catalyst set to default, vsync on or off doesnt matter, Afterburner OSD shows 120fps where as Fraps shows 60fps locked. And this is on a 120hz monitor. Vsync off ingame and in CCC, fps over 120 in OSD and still solid 60 in Fraps. Anyone else having this problem? My eyes get fatigued playing this game. The flickering shadows doesn't help. Oh and OSD shows like 17% usage on all 3 cards. What the fu?

Do they still show heavy emphasis of the original scores? This is over the top but they could play the Max payne 2 theme for every seen and i would love it lol. biggrin.gif

Put some time in on the game and I must say the graphics are stunning, maxed out at 1920x1200 res is some serious eye candy. The game play is addictive and refreshing, the cut-scenes draw you into the story, I gotta say I am truly impressed by this game. It was a pick-me-up from the daily Diablow 3 item grinding.

Legitimately blown away by this game. Some of the set pieces are ridiculous. Everything just looks gorgeous. Here are a few 2560x1440 screens (if anyone knows how to make it not show the FPS in screenshot/video on Dxtory, let me know).

You can get it for a lot cheaper than that online, I bought mine for 21 dollars.
Anyway, it works for most people, what you're seeing is the loud minority.
As far as I know, people who have the retail version does not have a lot of problems. Besides 1 CTD mine has run flawlessly.

I think the game likes to be ran in 3D. My buddy and I have played through this game twice and some multi and not been hit with one CTD and we both run it in 3D. What makes it funny is that my two other buddies who picked this game up have had 2 to 3 CTD's and they are playing the game not even maxed and in 2D. I can honestly say this game is amazing and should be picked up without hesitation.
