will be dissapointed if it sucks royally. Still, its better than my atlantis 9000 PRO right? /me hopes.

yeah, it'll be better than your old card

It's a decent card. mid-range in the previous generation of ATI cards

Hey, looks like I'm in the same boat. I accidentally bought this exact card from the same guy (TIM-EACH) without properly investigating the stats. Almost all his feedback is positive, especially from those who have bought graphics cards so I quickly assumed he was alright. Also, ELSA is apparently a reputable brand. Let us know how it turns out!

Thanks, good luck

Apparently this card isn't a sham but it does have "slight diminished" performance according to this:

website

and

this

From what I could pick it out, it is infact DDR1. I don't know how much this will affect performance but the website didn't seem to indicate it a drastic loss.

Seems the translation didn't come through the link, can try googling "elsa x85."

The RAM will affect performance a bit, and you likely cannot unlock those four extra pipes. Otherwise, it's still an X850 Pro... which wasn't bad card when it came out, and still is quite capable. Obviously, no sm3.0 support like any X8xx series card.

Ah, thanks for the info. I was able to get a refund before he sent it and found ATI's actual model on Newegg for less $.

ELSA use to be pretty good for there cards when they were available in north america, they bailed out of the north american market after the tnt series of nvidia cards I think, and now primarly sell their products in asia, i.e. Japan, China etc.
