So I am looking to get a new CPU cooler because my H50 is too loud and I am trying to go for the silent type rig... I stumbled across this and thought it looked good but it isnt out yet so no one will know for sure. I have limited space but any comments on this cooler and any others I could use would be greatly appreciated!
Here is the amount of room I am working with in my Core 1000.
I'm not very familiar with the HXX series, can you just replace the fans with high quality ones?
If you can't replace the fans, or are set on getting a new cooler, there are better options. A local favorite for price/cooling is the Hyper 212+. I enjoy Noctua's products, and the NH-C14 is one that fits your case. It's also one I'm planning on buying myself.

Well as for the fans I am using AP-13s so the main worry for sound is from the actual pump. I do know that the Hyper 212+ is a good bang for buck cooler but I am a sucker for looks
I just watched a video on the NH-C14 and it is SOOO BIG!!!! I dont really like the looks of the Noctua fans but I am sure that I will get over it (maybe some paint) But this is one item I will keep in mind!
Lol well unless there are any other ideas out there it looks like I will be going with the C14 and if that doesn't fit then I will get the u12p which looks smaller. Comments and ideas are still welcomed though
Over all the NH-C14 has an overall height of 130mm, which is short for a CPU cooler when current tower coolers are routinely over 150mm . This is good for users that have a shallow case, but require a solid performing CPU cooler. If the 130mm height is too much the top fan can be removed to have an overall height of only 105mm.
According to this review, the NH-C12P is worse than the U12P. The C14 is a "top of the line" cooler, performing not far behind the likes of the Silver Arrow and NH-D14. Basically, the C14 is bettter than the C12P.
With top down coolers, it helps to have strong rear and top exhaust. Make sure you've got that set up. Is the cooler able to pull air into the case via a vent or something? If not I'd try changing something (i.e., add holes) to help airflow.
I have the Cooler Master x6 and it is quiet, though I did not measure before bolting it down an I had to cut the side of my case in order for it to "fit." lol. I will post pic as soon as i get a card reader for this rig I built yesterday - it's not pretty, but it will have to do. Funny thing is I also purchased the 212+ and chose the X6 for looks, what a BIG mistake.
