if the company doesnt provide an offline expeirence, the users will make their own. i dont think its right, but these companies need to step up and try harder and evolve with the times

Looks like I'll be skipping it now..

Same here. This was one of the games I was most excited for, but I refuse to support idiotic DRM such as this. This is also the reason I won't be buying Diablo 3.

But you'll be supporting the creating of games that screw over people without reliable internet connections.

“internet-dependent experience.”
LOL trying to make it sound good.

How do you do that? I also do not like origins popups. Atleast steam has an option to not have advertisements. I do have a firewall..

These guys have it all wrong. Providing a good game is all about providing a good service, that is Valve's philosophy and why I love them so much. If they don't implement an offline feature it just means they are not really interested in providing the best service possible but just keep their manic delusion that the consumers are all thieves and deserve no respect. I can't respect companies that think like that either.
What ? Still ? Didn't they fix that ?
I'm glad I haven't installed it.

You know maybe if all of the developers chipped in a paid for my ISP I would probably not care. At $70 a month I care about every bit going through my router.

Bad news if your ISP monitors your bandwidth, which 90% of ISP in US does.

Went from

Not buying. It's not about losing a connection and I don't care about trading resources with others.

This is crappy DRM disguised as "internet dependent experience"

Saw this coming from a mile away. First they start with requiring Origin, then start tacking on DLC to finish a game (ME3) and now this. It's sad that the publishers stopped caring about the consumer and care for nothing but profits. Having a problem with one of your games? Here have a coupon to buy another (EA) .

This, hopefully more people catch wind of this news and their profits drop and they are forced to remove the DRM.
