Birthday/christmas build.

Thread Starter
Im putting together a birthday/christmas build since my b-day is like 2 days from christmas. What do you guys think of this.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

ABIT AW9D Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard

Im keeping the 7800GT till the 8800GT comes out

Im wondering if the mobo is good, and if you guys could find me some good ram thats not like $500.
what about a PSU?

Here is a good PSU a lot of people use. It has headroom for that DX10 card as well.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341002

I dont know about that mobo, but the 975x chipset is arguably best for overclocking core 2 duo's. (Some may say 965).

I use this RAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231073

It doesnt OC much, but it gets the job done and isnt too expensive.

Sweet. I've heard good things about that mobo.

Geil makes good RAM. That ones good for overclocking

edit: too expensive, get the G.Skill when it is in stock again. It's a much better deal.

This OCZ is cheaper, but isn't as good because of the timings.

The OCZ GameXStream is a great PSU that can power your system well enough.
