Vcore in A-Tuning: now that's a mess - they make an average of 10 Vcore values.. I'm wondering what's the use of such value...

Thank you

Regarding DRAM Voltage they mean that their utility, A-Tuning, and their mobo implementation, is capable of showing just what the user sets in the BIOS, for example in my case 1.6V for my DRAM module. IF you wish and it is not a big deal, add a label called "DRAM voltage" in the new build, for us ASRock owners to not feel intimidated by not having any DRAM readings there, meaning no temperature - no voltage. Just kidding, think about it tho, if it's not a fuss. smile.gif

I AM Happy that this is the actual Uncore (cache) voltage!! You are sure, right? Me-Happy!!

I do not have A-Tuning installed any more.

I'm forming the opinion that ASRock is decent.

But they say "The DRAM voltage sensor is from superIO" and from their words I understand it that some of the VINs in HWiNFO should be reading the actual DRAM voltage offset from 1.5V ? So in your case, some of that Nuvoton values should be 0.1V.. Or do I get that wrong? It would be very unusual and weird that a SuperIO voltage sensor measures an offset anyway...

VR T1 belongs to the 1st loop of the VRM, so this is the current temperature of that VRM. VR T2 reflects the 2nd loop, which I cannot see on the screenshot, otherwise you should see a second instance of the VRM. So I guess the second one is not present and thus VR T2 is invalid and should be ignored.

Martin, hello again smile.gif

To be honest, what I get from their phrase is this:

--the default DRAM voltage is 1.5V -meaning when loading Optimal Defaults (F9) the motherboard sets DRAM @1333MHz, 1.5V - I confirm this.
--their DRAM voltage sensor just detects how much voltage you have set in the BIOS (and just that) - meaning it shows the static voltage value and not the real-time DRAM voltage value.
--this DRAM voltage sensor is from Super IO.

That is what I can understand. Now, I don't know how these things work, and also their original phrase is on my previous message, copied & pasted from my e-mail.

Please Martin, make sure that the Uncore (cache) voltage is and will be measured accurately! At least, as accurately as their sensor is measuring it.

Going for a clean install now, hope to have your new build soon smile.gif

It's technically not possible to measure a thing like a setting for DRAM voltage in BIOS via a SuperIO.
The only thing I can adjust is the name of VIN12 - the value it reads should what they say (as long as they don't perform any additional adjustments with the value like they do with the Vcore averaging).

Okay, I believe you smile.gif

The only thing I feel "obliged" to do is to post a screenshot from my e-mail client where everything I've copied and pasted is clearly seen.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Going for a Windows clean installation now.

Does anyone know what VIN 14 voltage is for Asrock Extreme 4?

Ive tried changing voltages in bios one at a time but nothing seems to change that voltage.

I'm more curious on that CPU2 fan, it most push out quite a quantity of air hahaha tongue.gif

VIN14 might not be connected at all, so it provides just 'random garbage'.
CPU2 fan indeed looks invalid, is there a fan connected ?
