I see. It's okay, there's always a first time to everything. :)

You can, actually. I never have to export stuff over (or copy-paste them to a new worksheet in Excel format). You can create graphs straight from a worksheet that is in CSV format.

If not, you can always do a "Save As..." and then save it as a regular Excel file.

Yeah, if you find the whole data set to be a bit confusing, you can also consider copy-pasting only those that you need. When you become more accustomed to using MS Excel, you won't have to. :) Just choose the columns that you are interested in making a graph, copy-paste to a new worksheet, and then create the appropriate graph.

Which reminds me, if I remember correctly I did post/upload my graphs in the "Sandy Stable Club" thread along with the Excel files. I am a HWInfo user by the way. But of course, the data in those Excel files are from an old version of HWInfo. But still, it serves the same purpose.

Try searching for my posts (visit my profile) and then look for my posts in the "Sandy Stable Club". You should be able to find those posts.

Try this: http://www.overclock.net/newsearch/?search=&resultSortingPreference=recency&byuser=topet2k12001&output=posts&sdate=0&newer=1&type=all&containingthread%5B0%5D=968053&advanced=1

EDIT: I think I understand your question now. You mean you want to select certain columns but they are not beside each other, correct? The trick is to press and hold the Ctrl key when selecting columns that are not beside each other. While pressing/holding Ctrl, use the mouse to highlight the column/s you want to make a graph for. But for beginners, yes you can simply copy-paste the columns you want in a new/separate worksheet.

Thank you for you patience and willing to expůain this to me. I did work with Excel in the past a bit but my problem and questions is, that I cant choose the same value in one column. All those datas are so stacked that I can't have same type of values in one column.

For better undestanding, I want to export from the whole log "GPU LOAD" value only. The thing is that those values doesnt stick within a same column even if I try extend specific column. It behaves like if those values are written across all columns and doesn't care, that there are any columns at all.

Hm, I'm having difficulty visualizing your problem. Can you send/upload a copy of your Excel file so that I can take a look? You're interested only on the GPU load, correct?

You're saying that (let's say for, example, "GPU Load" is on Column A)...the data of "GPU Load" sometimes appears in Column B and not all "GPU Load" raw data is located in Column A, did I get that right?

Let me try to run Prime95 for 15 minutes and I'll check the raw data. On your end, please send me the actual and unmodified Excel CSV and I'll take a look at it.

I got the file.

Let's try making a graph. What are you interested to see?

EDIT: the raw data looks fine by the way. I asked because I wanted to check if there are any errors in producing the CSV (by HWiNFO). No issues so far and the data is usable. So it's really more of how-to in Excel at this point. :)

Why don't you just Import the CSV file? Do not open it, just import it in Excel. The wizard will guide you to format it in an appropriate manner. An example I have just created :

I think I see now where you are having a problem. :)

CSV can be opened in Excel directly. No need to "export" it to Excel (or open Excel and "import" it).

Here's your file. See the second sheet/tab. As you can see, I created a graph directly from the CSV and just did a "Save As..." (select regular Excel file: ".xls" for Excel 2003 or ".xlsx" for Excel 2007 onwards).

EDIT: lol...sorry apparently I responded to you you, @LostParticle. :) My post was intended for the other person. He has difficulty creating a graph from the CSV Log...Excel can work directly with CSV Logs and even make graphs out of it (no need for "import"/"export"...at least with HWiNFO data).

@Elkim: just edit the graph I created and select/include the column that you are specifically interested in. If you want to show more than one column of data as a graph, then edit the graph to include the columns that you are specifically interested in. If you find the raw data to be confusing, copy-paste only the columns you need to a new worksheet. And then create the graph from there.

Ahaha! Bascially you wanted to adjust the width of the columns! :) OMG. :D

1. Select the entire worksheet. The entire worksheet will be highlighted in blue.

2. Hover your mouse to a a column border (example, between Columns A and B there is a divider). You will notice that the mouse cursor will change from a white "plus sign" to a black "plus sign" that is thin.

3. When you see it change, double-click on your mouse and it will automatically adjust the column width of the entire worksheet.

Good to know you have your data you want it to be. :)
