HTC Wildfire S Woes....Some Help?

Hi everyone,

I have an HTC Wildfire S, with Virgin Mobile as the carrier. Now I love the cheap service (grandfathered into the $25 a month for unlimited web/data), and recently got this phone.

The problem is, it's filled with bloatware, and none of it can be moved to the SD card.

I was looking to see if there was a cyanogenmod ROM for this phone, but I can't seem to find one (nor would I know what I was doing; I'm clueless when it comes to flashing ROM's...etc...).

Anyone have this phone? Or can anyone help me either:
a) Delete the bloatware....
or
b) Install a separate ROM without destroying my phone...


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had one. I solved the problem by rooting it and installing CM7 on it. I had over 100MB onboard and used Link2SD to have pretty much infinite apps.

- How to root
- MIUI (W.I.P.)
- CM7 (W.I.P.)

After a few months I gave up on the phone and got a Nexus S 4G. It didn't seem worth it. There are only a few devs for the CDMA version of the phone and none of them has made a fully functional ROM that doesn't include that HTC Sense crap. All of them have broken MMS, broken Camera's, or broken WiFi Hotspot. If you don't mind HTC Sense (I personally can't stand it), you can use JMZ's ROM, which apparently is the best alternative ROM you can get. It's video playback is broken though. Simonsimoms Marvelusc stock 2.3.4 is another good Sense rom. Everything works, it's overclocked, and has updated Google Apps and apps2sd.

that phone has internals from 2009, im surprised there still selling it. but yeah, check xda developers for a nice rom. not sure if theres anything good for that phone, like there is for my triumph.
