Looking for a 27 or 30 inch gaming monitor - Page 2

Well I planned on buying the multi version as a failsafe where just in case the lamp blew on my tv I'd have a backup or for whatever reason I couldn't play on my tv. I like the ability to be able to play my console on the Q270 if I ever need to. I'm like 75% wanting it and 25% thinking screw it.

I have the Asus VG278H 3D monitor and it's just awesome! It's native 1080P at 120Hz with a 2ms response time. I have my xbox and pc rig hooked up to it. The xbox looks great through the HDMI connection with no visible lag that I can see. And my PC through DVI to take advantage of the 3D from my Asus GTX 580 (awesome card by the way).

You don't have to use the 3D functionality of course, it's fantastic at the normal 2D viewing, but since you have a 6970, give it a shot, Asus include the 3D glasses, which actually fit over my usual glasses.

Oh, the best feature IMO is the height adjustment with the stand. Here's a link - http://www.asus.com.au/Display/LCD_Monitors/VG278H/#overview

That's right about where I am. Also, being in college, I don't have the luxury of having a bunch of different displays for their own purposes.
