And I told one of my dumbass friends to hold off on getting his 15" Macbook Pro last month. Oh well...

I was considering buying one of these as my new laptop if they are putting Retina displays in them, but I'm not sure how I feel about the Air design. Guess we'll have to wait and see what they announce.

Throw a GTX 660M in one of those Macbook Pro's, sell it for under $1500, offer switchable graphics with 6+ hours of battery life, and a 2560x1600 display and I'll take one.

Certainly not big on macs myself but if it's retina display+ivy+lighter/smaller form factor, at the current prices, I'll definitely need to consider it. If the air gets these benefits too then might be something worth look inginto, as I was intending to get an ultrabook anyway, the extra $200 may have something for it. Then again, ultrabooks aren't all that competitive at the moment so we'll see what rolls out next, or perhaps wait on AMD to launch the significantly lower price ones with APUs.

Give me a quad core 13" with dedicated graphics (preferably kepler based) and ill take one. Although this "slimmer and lighter" form factor better not get rid of the ethernet port or that'll be a deal breaker for me, the 13" pro was perfectly light and portable enough as it was.

Apple usually gets them before other manufacturers so it should be before this date. Where's the 35W Quad-core IB though? Intel must be having trouble producing it as we haven't heard anything about it since last year.

Gets what before other manufacturers? Apple tends to lag behind other manufacturers in terms of CPU tech.
