Do you think you'll able to make a bracket which allows the pump to be installed on top of the baseplate and, perhaps, with the shroud on (some cutting required). Just like the PNY GTX580 (Asetek 740GF).

Understand that since the GK104 doesn't have an IHS makes it harder or near impossible to do that. Please eloborate. Thanks.

On most reference cards you can leave the stock unisink on like on my old GTX 470. The GTX 680 is recessed down and requires a shim that can be purchased.

You could easily cut the shroud to make it look more stock

I would like to know this as well. Do we know the exact size the shim needs to be? Heres one for the 7970 but it has an odd shape.
