For those of you looking for the Antec Kuhler 620, Newegg has them for 39.99 after coupon and rebate (unless you live in California or any other state which charges sales tax, otherwise it will be 43.xx)

Great deal for those who are looking to complete the Dwood mod!

Sorry for necro threading, seriously considering for my 470, but really want to just buy a 670.

Is the contact pressure high enough with the alu bracket, or does it start to bend?

If you put the max contact pressure possible that you can deliver with only two fingers on the screw driver, it should be about right. It won't bend the PCB.

Hey there!

I'm a first time poster, long time reader of these forums.

I recently got a reference of the EVGA 670 GTX and looking to do a water cooling mod similar to this. I'm really thinking about buying the small bracket which Dwood has so kindly been able to machine.

My query is: Is there anyone out there with a reference EVGA 670 GTX with this water cooling mod done? Is it possible on the smaller PCB and also because the VRAM is on the opposite side than the GTX 680 / GTX 670 FTW?

My main objective also is to get rid of the reference fan because it's so loud. I would go for an after market cooler like the Arctic Twin Turbo 2, but as my case is a M-ATX one I only have 2 PCI slots to occupy.

Would be really great to see some pictures of someone with modded EVGA 670GTX's with CPU close water cooling kits. I had a search through the forums and couldn't find anything but maybe I missed something.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Many thanks!

Dwood, i'm almost 100% positive the 620 kuhler bracket will work on a Corsair H40. Can you confirm me that?

Hi Dwood,

So I have a spare antec 920 and I'm debating using it as a cooler for a GTX 670 (maybe 680 but doubt it)

1: will your adapter work for this setup?

2: what would be the best bet for cooling VRM's and memory without the fan? or is the fan recomended.

My goal with this build is to lower heat and noise as much as possible but still reatin solid performance.

Thanks
