Antec Kuhler 620 on my GTX 680, pictures and temps inside - Page 21

Today i removed the bracket and the antec 620 watercooler.

I cleaned the gpu and the copper from the antec watercooler with artic cleaning kit.
I did put Coollabaratory liquid ultra under it as tim, and omg only 37 celcius under 100% load with furmark lol!
This is on 1345mhz gpu boost with a Asus gtx 680 top edition.

as protection i taped arroud the gpu, is that a problem? (it works but i have no idea if that is bad)
Because without the tape it is scary, liquid ultra can cause serious damage if it touch them.

I'd love to mod my Titan with a closed loop WC (at some point). Already have similar experience with my old GTX580 running at 950/1.15V and an H100, great temps even with 30C+ ambient temp and under Furmark load.

I wonder if Dwood has brackets for Titans, i wouldn't like to do this mod using zip ties again, a proper bracket and scews would be great...i don't have access in any Antec coolers here, but i can get pretty much any of the Corsair loops...

Using open bench case is very easy to cool the rest of the components like VRMs and VRAM just by installing at the correct places a few fans to directly hit air at these components...

This is on a Asus GTX 680 top edition.
I am idle @ 23 celsius (room temp 20.9) and load max 45 celsius, this is on modded bios (1.212 volt) and 1333mhz gpu boost.
Not bad i think?

Most happy i am about the silence, i have a 92mm noctua blowing on the vrm's, and a noctua 120mm on the rad of the antec 620.
I is soooo much better.

Ok,the noctua's are ugly,but hey,they cool great and low sound tongue.gif

I am thinking about buying a Noctua nf-f12 and a Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM 92x14mm fan for the vrms, are that your fans?

I have a evga gtx 680. If I get copper shim, can I install h60 or h80i without having to take off the baseplate?

What heatsink kit did you get for the VRAM?

Well I've manage to make my MSI GTX680 on this kind of mod, this time using a NZXT Kraken X40. Well as for the moment I can't seem to tell if I have a good idle temp, coz with default HSF I got a 30-35 degree Celsius on a 33-36+ degree ambient and is the same after modding mine. Well maybe because it is quite hot in here that is why I got that kind of idle temps.

On SLI configuration, once I run furmark, my MSI GTX max temp for 5-10 mins is around 40-45 degree Celsius, while my ASUS GTX680 top is on 62 with fan speed on 100% max. The Kraken has this software that you can configure the fan, even if I set it on extreme or silent, I still get the same result for my MSI. I wonder if somebody else has this kind of result on a tropical island
