1100t OC Help! D: Desperate! Goal of 4 GHz

Thread Starter
I'm trying to overclock my 1100t, but to no avail.

The best I've been able to clock it to is 3.9 GHz but it has to be running at 1.5 volts @_@ and at that point, it is still unstable. If I don't give it 1.5 volts I can't even boot into windows. MI don't think that that the CPU is running to hot as it is idling at 26 degrees Celsius and under full load before it crashes, 56 degrees.

My settings:

Core speed - 3900MHz
Multiplier -19.5
Bus Speed - 200
HT link - 2000 MHz @ auto voltage
CPU/NB - 2400 MHz @ 1.26 volts

I can be sort of stable running at 3.8 GHz, but I feel like it is eating much more voltage than it needs, but it will not work unless I give it that much voltage.
If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry if I did not post this correctly or to the right sub-forum, I'm brand new to this site.

Thank you! smile.gif

Try overclocking the reference clock. My 955 went higher more comfortably that way. Just remember if you up the reference clock, you'll have to lower the HT clock to stay ~1900-2100 MHz and the Ram divider so ~230, 250, 280, then you use lower multipliers. It might help you get to 4GHz, but you might have a stubborn chip.

you can up your cpu/nb volts to 1.35 volts not to be confussed with nb voltage

Your vrms are probably overheating..being it's a 4 phase board with unsinked vrms and you're running a 6 core..probably won't go over 3.8
best bet=get new(to you) motherboard

Agree, the cpu-nb can often lead to unstable overclocks even at low settings once the cpu speed breaks past a certain point.

Example:
Going to 4.2ghz on mine from 4.1ghz required a cpu-nb bump even though i didnt raise the speed of it from where it was. The numbers were slightly different but this is just an example.

Good point, the 1090/1100t are power hungry overclocked, I killed two 890fxa-gd70's with my 1100t before I switched to the asus CHV.

Okay, I just upped my ref clock to 250 MHz and set the multiplier to 16. HT link is set to 2000 MHz and NB is at 2500 MHz @ 1.2750 volts. I also underclocked my RAM to 1333 9-9-9-27 2T just to make sure that memory isn't my problem. Should I attempt to run a Prime 95 test? My voltage is already at 1.520V at near idle (I have it set to 1.5 in the BIOS) and I am afraid that it'll go over 1.55 during the test.

I did not know that the two were different, I thought it was a different way to say the same thing. I meant to say that the NB was running at 1.26 volts. Also, what is the difference between the two? I also do not see an option for CPU/NB voltage in my BIOS.
