Hello
I'm looking for a cpu heatsink/fan around the price range of $70, where I can oc my i7 2600k to 4.5. Don't want any temperatures above 65c on full load.

Currently I have been looking at the Cooler Master V8, you guys have any recommendations on what to buy?

for $70 you can get one of those corsair self-contained water cooling units

Don't get the V8. Performance is pretty weak for the price.

How about the Noctua NH-D14. It is known for being one of if the highest performing air cooling heatsink. It is quite big so watch you ram clearance.

OR

You can get a corsair hydro series cpu cooler, I wouldnt suggest lower than an h80 (h70) becasue there just isnt enough surface area

two great coolers for ürett ycheap money. One thing though: nobody can guarantee you any temperatures with any cooler.

I got the arctic cooler freezer 13 and keeps my and bulldozer quad core at 4.0ghz under 30c at idle and never above 60c under prime 95 for $45 if you want to look into it, great cooler to replace my stock smile.gif

CM Hyper 212 is a better choice.

Anyways with $70 you can get a better-performing cooler.

Yeah hyper 212 is a beast but I changed to a mini atx case and the freezer works great for those with little space im just using this for my media/backup PC, my personal I have the corsair h100 in my midtower :)which performs just as well for $70

The corsair H80 is a good closed loop cooler.. My H100 works great with my OC'ed FX-8150(Witch has ALOT more heat than yours) biggrin.gif But, on air.. there is SO MANY that will do what you want it to do.
