You gave it an honest effort with your post, I know how difficult getting rep can be. I only paid 179 for mine, but got some black Friday deal.

Thanks- I know it's not the biggest deal out there, but still, $20 is $20. Thought it was worth a mention to anyone still interested in a 2500k thumb.gif

yes you can get it at microcenter for about 180. but after tax its almost $200 anyways. i only bought mine for a friend (he wanted a new computer told him to return his $800 dell POC had a first gen i5...) and built one for him only came out to $600) only did it to see wat all the hype was about for the 2500k. got 5ghz easy on it but wasnt sure how good it was long term so brought it down to 4.7ghz (summer heat is pretty bad)

it cheap because microcenter saved him about ~$130 in cpu and motherboard alone.

it seems like everyone is dropping the prices on the current gen CPU is ivy bridge coming out really soon? like next week?

Yeah, this deal is good even for the ones that have a MC sort of close by. My i5 came to $196.65 after CA taxes and I had to drive like 50 minutes.
