I can't screw my Noctua NH-D14 down. I have done one side but the other won't tighten. Any suggestions?

You have to turn each screw once, one at a time; ie 1 turn for screw A, 1 turn for screw B, etc etc.

You should never tighten one side entirely and then start working on the other side, that could damage your socket and/or CPU from the uneven pressure.

It still isn't going in at all.

Apply a little pressure on the side that's not going in (so turn screw A once or even half a rotation, you just want it to hold; and then push down on the other side, align the threads and screw). Dw it's little tricky, but you'll get it.

Are both screws sticking up the same amount above mobo?

Can you post us a pic of the 2 screws with cooler off?

I just had to do one rotation on each screw. Then repeat that until they were both tight.
