New crucial m4 ssd - need to update firmware?

I'm not entirely sure how to check what firmware version it has...

I went to device manager and clicked properties and it said

Driver date: 6/21/2006

Driver version: 6.1.7600.16385

Need I update this?

Thanks, i've never updated firmware on a ssd before.

I got my Crucial m4 about a month ago and it had the firmware version on a sticker on the drive itself. The current firmware is 0309. You can also use AS SSD and when you select your drive it will tell you your firmware version in the window thumb.gif

you can download AS SSD HERE but I think it would be easier to just find the sticker on your drive
