Let's see, every Apple product I've bought in the last 20+ years has been a bad choice except for one..

First was the Apple IIgs, the native "gs" software was very scarce. So it was a goofy Apple II with really cool sound (think it was an ensoniq audio chip)..

Second was the Quadra 660av (or centra, was during that Coke CEO guy who had like 1000 model numbers out for systems that were almost the same).. My 660 was special tho, it had a DSP chip that was used for audio, and a special modem that utilized the DSP.. had nothing but trouble making any program work that didn't totally use the API's properly for audio.. oh, and the biggest fail (on my part) was buying one of the last 68040 based systems.. PowerPC mac's came out and I had to pay for 3 years for a system that went obsolete in 1 year.

The quadra was my first overclock tho, you had to buy a IC clip type thing, solder a crystal on it and clip it on, and think it went from 25mhz to 30mhz :-)

The only product I don't regret buying from Apple is my 80gb iPod. I only really use it now for podcasts, when I bought it I did a lot of driving and it was nice having a ton of music with me.

I bet Trojan has more sold more products than Apple.

Sadly I have two apple products......

only because I got two FREE Ipod touches...lol...I would never pay money for crap products that are useless.

Haven't used them in a few years tho...

sure people dont buy apple for gaming but why in the world would you pay $1200 - $2000+ imac just to browse facebook and watch hd movies or whatever it is you do on one of those things.. when for the same price you can build a pc or buy a prebuilt one that can do all that and game or video edit or whatever. also upgrading one of these things is a serious joke 180 bucks for imac 16gb ddr3 1066 ram?

good point i might as well flash it around to the people who dont know much about computers and they will be all like LUL OMG NO WAYZ YOU HAVE A MAC?. yes i do think theyre GREAT looking. And there OS is nice.. but really you wanna pay ridiculous amounts of money to impress people? there was a point i n my life where i did want a mac but there is no way in hell id pay that much for something not capable of even gaming on the go. Dont worry if you love apple and you will stand by that no matter what then all the power to ya.. but heres some comparision for you people who think theyre all so mighty and powerful..

macbook:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834100199

pc laptop:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246309

now look at the specs..

macbook: Lenovo:

4gb ddr3 1333
same

core i5
i would say better but ghz doesnt necessarily always mean better.. so same.

13.3 inch
better 15.6 inch

1280 x 800
same 1366 x 768 depends if you prefer widescreen

led backlight
same.

500gb 5400 rpm
same

7hr battery life
worse 4hrs..

weight 4.5
worse 5.73

BUT come on my macbook has back lit keys and better battery life and weighs less.. thats DEFINITELY worth $650 more right?

... lol you could buy two of those lenovos one for yourself and one for your kid or whoever and still pay less then on macbook..

The iPhone is great for many different people, but I myself prefer android for MANY reasons.
The iPad is amazing, the battery life is fantastic, and the screen is great. I use it for comics and reddit, and the occasional webpage. Does it work as a dedicated PC? Nope, see below.
You can NOT buy a better Laptop than a Mac, seriously...you just can't. If you need a desktop replacement, than fine...buy an Asus (they are still great). But for general mobility and a great OS, Mac OSX Lion is GREAT! Also cannot forget to mention the look and feel. I bought a Macbook Air and it's amazing. The trackpads on mac's are phenomenal.
IMO Mac desktops are a waste of money for anyone not in the professional audio/video scene.
I'm the IT guy for an Art/Video school and we use a great deal of Mac's and PC's and I've really come to respect how awesome mac's are. Too bad Apples server software is a damn joke.

I must concur with the part about the laptops. having had many laptops over the years, and having helped people with tech issues on their laptops over the years, I can say that straight up, they are THEE LAPTOP. Now if you need a gaming book, I'd say ASUS or MSI are where you should go with your money, but if you want a laptop to perform extremely well and be mobile (as well as say playing W.o.W. on it) Mac's are where it is at.

I've also made the swap recently to an iPhone 4s. I do love it. I'll admit, I miss widgets. And I do miss some of the customization, but I will gladly take the quick and easy route of moving my entire music library as well as some of my movies from my computer to my phone via iTunes (and for the people who think you can't put CD's on it, you are wrong. You have to use iTunes to move them over yes, but iTunes refers to the program, NOT the store). Honestly, I see why it's the top mobile device. Android is sweet, and it'll always be my second love, but after making the swap, I may stick with it.

I cannot comment on iPads, but I will say I will NEVER own a desktop apple product. I had a G5 iMac back in 05. It was very nice for a while, but eventually the HDD died inside and would have been far to much hassle to swap out, also for the price I could have had a much better PC (wish I could go back in time :\).

this.

you forgot to mention that they don't use desktop processors. they use the weaker laptop core i5/i7 along with very low end radeon 5000m series laptop graphics.
