Seems worth it to me... working 30+ hours a week and maintaining a full load in college doesn't leave much time to spend in Battlefield.
Honestly, by all means if you wan't to pay to unlock the stuff, go for it.
No one can have any reason to be mad, cause if you wanted you could do the same.

Like I've seen mentioned before, not everyone has a ton of time to devote to playing and unlocking everything.

(I've played to unlock everything, and always will as I have the time to put in, and its more satisfying unlocking things the good old fashion way)

I do find it funny that they "stealth release" the pay for unlocks thing in this patch instead of talking about it pre launch, which I am sure would have caused and outrage and affected sales and started silly internet petitions etc.

Dice must not be behind the pay for unlocks thing at all, probably an all EA move.

Hey I say if someone wants to pay to have everything unlocked then they can do that. I personally think that completely takes away most of the value of actually going through the ropes and having that joy of actually unlocking things on your own but thats just me.

And it's hilarious that you think the SPECACT kit was anything like this. They were the same guns you could unlock normally (BC2, you had ALL kits by level 23) but in black and the soldier had different camo. There was NO advantage to buying them. Whereas there IS an advantage to buying these kits.

You can keep babbling on about how there's no advantage and you can keep trolling and antagonising the people in this thread to your hearts content but it doesn't change the facts. Yes, buying the kits gives an advantage. You are wrong.thumb.gif

Careful now, calling people trolls is seen as an act of trolling by the mods. Wouldn't want to get into trouble now would we?

You in your own words said that you were against other people getting unlocks without "working" for them because you had to "work" for them. You then go on to say that when you see a person with x unlock you think "man that person worked hard for that" and that buying unlocks takes that away.

This means you are seeing the unlocks as trophies for showing status and e-peen.

If you were able to appreciate unlocks as just a personal reward, you wouldn't give two hoots about how anyone else got theirs, because you'd just be happy that you got yours and if you got it through your preferred means that gives you satisfaction, you're happy.

The fact that other people getting them through a different means in your own words "cheapens" the value of your unlocks/trophies, means your satisfaction comes from other people seeing your trophies and seeing the satus of your e-peen. That's the only reason why you'd feel "cheapened out" by someone else who also has the same unlock as you, but didn't do the same thing you did to get them.

It's all in your words my friend and it's plain to see.

You call the process of getting to the unlocks "work".

When you get your reward, you wont feel good about it (aka "cheapend out") if the sole means of obtaining it does not come from "work".

You're upset that a "noob" can posess the same unlocks as you without the same amount of game time.

That means you are viewing your unlocks as a public status symbol, aka trophy and not a personal reward.

If this wasn't the case, you wouldn't care how other people got theirs.

*sigh*

You want to find the quote where I supposedly said the specact kits are the same as kit unlocks?

Or maybe you think that when I say "kit unlocks were in Bad Company 2 a game that released two years ago and it didn't break the game" I am talking about the BC2 specact kits and not the BC2 kit unlock kits?

Well to put it straight, when I say kit unlocks, I am talking about kit unlocks. Not specact kits. Maybe you dont understand the difference between the two?

Infact, you along with others probably still didn't even know the kit unlocks existed in BC2 also which is why you immediately jump to the conclusion that I am talking about specact and not kit unlocks.

Like I said, kit unlocks were in Bad Company 2.

Noone cared. Many didn't even realise.

World War 3 didn't break out, people continued to play the game and have fun without crying.

There you go again telling me what I mean. You can only be doing that because you want to try and get under my skin (and it's beginning to work) and therefore you are trolling.

Where did I say those words? I didn't. You're TROLLING. Your posts are extraneous and inflammatory and it seems the sole purpose is to provoke a response. That is trolling. Every single post you've made in this thread is condescending to whomever you quoted (or sometimes, didn't quote).
Quote:

What you feel I said means nothing. What I said stands above your petty deductions. I'm not even going to bother with you anymore because you're a pointless troll.

The only thing I will address is:

Like I said, kit unlocks were in Bad Company 2.

Aside from your condescending attitude ("Maybe you dont understand the difference between the two?") the actual fact is I was completely unaware that they were present in BC2. Looking on Google, I can't see any evidence of them on the PC. Which would explain why I have been unaware of them because I don't play consoles.

This, you are right about. I didn't even know they existed and I'm entirely glad they aren't on the PC (to my knowledge. They're not on Steam or Origin).

However, since you're just trolling and now I've let it known that it's pissing me off. I think I'll report and move on.

Ehh stock weapons are as good as the other weapons, you can roll out with m16 and destroy, just like any other weapon.
but what would be funny to see is if they added a special hunting camo to the guys that did buy this, lets say an orange vest that glints in the sun, hahhaa
