[PC Gamer] Now you can pay £32 to unlock everything in Battlefield 3 - Page 18

i guess I can live with it because you dont have to pay for weapons that you can only get if you pay for them. But at the same time part of me hates the idea of people just being able to buy all of the things that normally it takes time and hard work to get (guess its just the competitiveness in me), but once again I can live with that as long as I dont have to pay for things just so I can get them.

i love these threads, because the hypocrisy shown while discussing BF3 instead of MW3 is hilarious.

for what? pointing out the obvious?

i've been on these threads before and it's all the same, if it's BF3 then it's obviously a positive and if it's MW3 it's some money making tool to suck the life out of consumers. this plan is the equivilant of saying to you pay us money and we'll give you epic level gear in WOW and if that happened people would be complaining about the all the noobs who have all this sweet gear but didn't earn it but since they can throw around money they are given the stuff that people had to spend days grinding for. but when this model is applied to BF3, the game that is such a savior to the PC that it needs a 1.5gig patch less than a year after release just to fix the damn thing and a game which sold the majority of it's copies on xbox, then it's a smart idea for the gamer on the go who doesn't have time to invest in the game.

what's next? how about just paying for achievements or buying the next level of the game if you don't like a part of it?

BF3 was a major letdown from a gaming perspective and from a PC sales perspective:

xbox outsold PS3 and PC combined on BF3.

MW3 on xbox outsold every medium of BF3 combined.

throw those numbers in with the glitchy, cheat riddled PC multiplayer and this game didn't save PC gaming, it merely reinforced to publishers that console sells better, no matter what PC players say.

edited for language.

Really now?

Unlocking the Javelin/Soflam is equivalent with money is equivalent to buying epic level gear in WoW? You're saying:

- A level 1 guy buying epic level gear and storming through the game without trying

is synonymous with...

- A rank 1 Battlefield player buying an assault pack that contains weapons that are designed to not give a specific advantage, are unlockable just by playing and pretty much puts him on the same playing field as someone who has played for the assault unlocks. Minus the hours of experience and skill gained through actually playing for the unlocks?

Really? So you view this as allowing any noob to become a powerhouse?

Do you actually play BF3? It seems you do not understand the implications at all?

You seem to have quite a large chip on your shoulder there tbh.

And it's hilarious that you think the SPECACT kit was anything like this. They were the same guns you could unlock normally (BC2, you had ALL kits by level 23) but in black and the soldier had different camo. There was NO advantage to buying them. Whereas there IS an advantage to buying these kits.
You can keep babbling on about how there's no advantage and you can keep trolling and antagonising the people in this thread to your hearts content but it doesn't change the facts. Yes, buying the kits gives an advantage. You are wrong.thumb.gif

MG3SA was MUCH MUCH better than regular MG3. Besides SA kits let you handle two different loadouts for each class, something really usefull if you had to spawn fast with something new.

Wait I am confuzzled... I though the point was to play the game to unlock things. So progression is now unique to stats in a world where hackers rule... fun... no wonder I haven't played in 2 weeks a good game that just keeps getting worse.

No, the point of the game is to play the objectives!!!

PTFO!!! biggrin.gif

What the heck does this have to do with hackers??? What does someone ELSES stat progression have to do with your fun?

If you want to progress as normal, you can do so.

What's with all the "rabble rabble rabble!!"?
