Hi y'all since this is the "Offical" thread I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can answer.

I need to know what the amperes draw is on this card? Anyone know this? I think I've heard 28A which renders (pardon the pun) all PSU's in compliance with ATX12V Power Supply Design Guide and EPS12V Power Supply Design Guide obsolete, based on the 18A limitation on all 12V-Rails?

This is why PCPower&Cooling has re-introduced the single Rail design back inot their lineup including their flagship 1KW-SR Turbo Cool

I would appreciate anyone's input on this subject

By the way using Adrienne (this is the girl marrying "Peter Brady" on that reality show My Fair Brady) was the worst marketing decision ever. If the my G80 renders that I'm tossing it in the garbage! How the heck can you tell if the image is bad or good? That girl not looks like the biggest skank on Earth she acts like the biggest skank...

Haha yeah, they couldn't have chosen a worse cover girl.

But as for you question, the 8800GTS takes 26A and the 8800GTX takes a full 30A. So as yo have suggested, only one PSU is capable of powering two of them in SLI.

7950GX2 arent DX10 compatible so dont get those if your planning on playing in DX10. I would get a Intel 965 chipset or 975 chipset if your planning for a new build and that PSU is good for a single G80

Some info on 4x4 i dont know if this should be on here but since Nvidia is making the chipset i thought it to be relevant. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=35334
Also what is that small chip other than the GPU on G80 the inquirer might know?
