I should probably say that this is a long running problem. It used to OC fine a number of years ago. I ran into issues where it would fail to post out of the blue and keep resetting itself, especially at times when it had been turned of for a few days - felt like I had to jump start it. Nothing I can think of in windows that has drastically changed apart from going from XP to Win7
. I'm scared that it's going to be a stupid issue like my USB mouse or something ridiculous as others have found it to be such things.
I have tried 8 multi and it fails to post. Not tried however since the last 24 hours of flashing and cmos clearing. I'll have another play with x8 now.
I assume you did a fresh install right?
Also might be a good idea to run memtest for a few hours at stock and also chkdsk for HDD errors might also be a good idea. Lastly I would probably try with only the essentials connected, one stick of RAM, one HDD etc.
I just checked pics of your mobo, are you using 8 pin or 4 pin for the mobo?
From what I see, RAM support for the mobo is 1066, anything above that is usually considered as an overclock. Try a different strap and reduce the frequency from 1333mhz to 1066mhz.
